About Us

Our Mission

At Wildfowl Geek, we believe that every duck hunter deserves gear that works as hard as they do. Founded from a passion for waterfowling and a frustration with fluff-filled reviews, our mission is simple: provide honest, research-driven guidance to help you make informed decisions. We’re not here to sell you anything—we’re here to save you time, money, and disappointment.

What We Cover

We focus exclusively on duck hunting gear: shotguns, decoys, calls, waders, blinds, ammunition, and accessories. Every article—whether a detailed review, spec-by-spec comparison, or troubleshooting guide—is built from hands-on testing, manufacturer datasheets, and community insights. We don’t chase trends; we chase accuracy.

How We Research and Stay Objective

Our reviews are grounded in a repeatable process. Each product is evaluated against five core criteria: durability, performance in wet/cold conditions, value for money, ease of use, and real-world effectiveness. We test gear in the field—across marshes, timber holes, and prairie potholes—then cross-reference results with technical specifications and user feedback. No product gets a free pass; every verdict is earned by data, not hype.

We also maintain a strict “no manufacturer approval” policy. Brands never see our reviews before publication, and we never accept payment for coverage. If something fails in the field, we say so.

Editorial Independence

To keep Wildfowl Geek sustainable, we may earn affiliate commissions when you purchase through links on our site. This never influences our verdicts, rankings, or opinions. Our editorial team operates entirely independently of any commercial relationships. We call gear as we see it—whether it’s a bargain or a bust.
